Topics covered will include
- Creating paths with the pen tool, converting anchor points (and learning what they are!!) drawing with the pencil, line, shape tools, modifying Bezier curves and basic shapes; joining paths, the eraser, combining objects, Pathfinder and Shape palette, Live Trace,
- Selecting and Aligning; aligning to a key object, aligning points, distributing objects, aligning to the artboard, the selection arrows, Magic Wand, Isolation Mode (excellent ), selecting similar objects based on fills, strokes or both (this is great),
- Color: custom swatches, tints, color groups, painting with patterns, the pattern brush, making your own patterns, symbols...and modifying them,
- Transparency and blending modes; opacity masks
- Layers, clipping masks, appearance attributes
