The goal of this class is to provice non-technical persons with basic knowledge about the three major programs used in the publishing industry. Afer this session participants will be able to communicate more efficiently with designers, suppliers, and clients about the print process.

This is a hands-on course. It is geared toward production managers, account representatives, and administrative assistants who interact with graphic designers, film houses, printers, and clients about the status and potential problem areas of their print job.

The class is divided into four sections:

  • publishing terminology and discussion of the best use of each program
  • InDesign output considerations
  • Adobe Illustrator file formats and uses
  • Adobe Photoshop modes, file formats and uses
